Tour Plan
The Waqrapukara trek is one of the new alternatives for a full day in Cusco, ideal for people who love hiking and adventurous people, it is also considered a new trekking alternative.
We will pick you up from 04:30 to 05:00 am where we will go through your respective hotel, and then travel for a period of approximately 2 hours to our tourist restaurant in Cusipata, where we will have breakfast included.
CUSIPATA – TOWN OF SANTA LUCIA (2:00 hours of travel). - Once we have enjoyed our breakfast, we will leave at 7:00 a.m. from the town of Cusipata to the town of Santa Lucia, turning off the main road through the Chuquicahuana intersection, taking the road to Acomayo and then to the town of Santa Lucia, our route Until arriving at the town it lasts approximately 2 hours. Once arriving at the starting point of our walk, you will be given the corresponding directions for the route and safety.
TOWN OF SANTA LUCIA – WAQRAPUKARA (1 hour and 30 minutes.- Here we begin our walk to Waqrapukara, our walk will last 1 hour and 30 minutes, the path we will take consists of impressive canyon viewpoints and incredible landscapes in which we will have 3 breaks of 10 minutes, in which refreshments will be provided.
After a walk of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, we finally reach our final destination ¨ WAQRAPUKARA CEREMONIAL CENTER ¨ arrival time approximately 10:30 in the morning, already in the pre-Inca archaeological center we will take our rest for about 20 minutes and then start our tour in the same archaeological center. And at 12.00 we will have our lunch in the field for a time of 30 minutes, after enjoying our lunch we will go to the photo session of the respective viewpoints, once we finish with all the activity in Waqrapukara we will start with our return taking the same path of One way until we reach our mobility, average 2:30 in the afternoon we will take our return transport, thus arriving in the city of Cusco at 6:30 p.m. on average.
