CUSCO - PUERTO MALDONADO - LODGE - COCHA CAIMÁN
Welcome / Reception
Upon your arrival in Puerto Maldonado, the Capital of Biodiversity of Peru, we will meet you at the airport. Then, we will start our program with a bus tour around the city.
Afterwards, we will go to Puerto Capitanía, to embark on a motorized boat, and we will sail for the Bajo Madre de Dios River. During the trip, we will immerse ourselves in a fascinating natural environment, with luck we will observe Ronsocos, Caymans, Turtles, Herons, Cormorants and other species of animals.
In our hostel, you will be greeted with a delicious nectar of tropical Amazonian fruits, and taken to your comfortable room (bungalow). A succulent lunch awaits you in our cozy dining room with rustic design.
After lunch, you will be led by our specialized guide through an interpretive trail conveniently signposted to Cocha Cayman, a small lagoon with an abundant presence of specimens of black caiman (Melanosuchus niger) and white alligator (Caiman crocodilus).
At the end of the afternoon, you will witness the spectacular sunset in the Amazon, an experience full of color in ranges and overwhelming intensities.
Upon returning to the lodge, a delicious dinner awaits you, and you will have free time to share unforgettable moments in our bar, equipped with an excellent table games room and provided with all the drinks you can imagine.
SANDOVAL LAKE - MONOS ISLAND.
After a delicious breakfast that will provide you with the energy needed for a morning full of new experiences. We will walk 3 km inside the dense tropical forest towards Lake Sandoval. One of the largest reserves of the national reserve Tambopata. Where we will appreciate a great variety of birds and monkeys of different species (Shansho, Cormoran, Jacanas, Puma Heron, Gallinazos, Coto monkey, Mono friar, Black Machin and Perososos.) If we are lucky we will also be able to observe the giant Nutria family that is in Danger of extinction and the biggest caimans with more than 4 meters in length, Then we will return to the lodge to enjoy our typical lunch.
In the afternoon, accompanied by our specialized guide, we will visit the Isle of Monkeys; A unique place in the heart of the Madre de Dios River, five minutes away from the hostel. During the walk, we will observe extraordinary landscapes, with a luxuriant flora, sheltering a variety of species of monkeys in their natural habitat, such as Maquisapa, Capuchino, Leoncillo, Friar and luckily other species of animals, such as Coati and Lazy Bears as well A great variety of birds.
Finally, we will complete our visit of the island, enjoying the sunset. Then we will return to the lodge and conclude the day with a nice dinner.
COCHA LOST.
After breakfast, we will start an adventure through the virgin jungle and accompanied by a local guide, we will take a walk in the deep jungle to reach Cocha Perdida, which is an ecosystem of refuge and feeding an immense variety of animals. There, we will have the opportunity to observe Otters, Caimans, Turtles, Sachavacas (Tapires), Birds of multicolored plumage, the majestic Jaguar and a variety of species of fish. This area is unique and unique to the Ecological Reserve of the Ecoamazonia (Map of geographical location) that keeps it intact, with immense swamps and various aguajales.
Then, we will arrive at the extraordinary AMAZON MIRADOR, from which we will be able to appreciate the immense and magical jungle. Afterwards, we will take a pleasant canoe trip around the lake and return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, we can make an optional visit to the local Botanical Garden or if you prefer, you will have the option to relax by the Amazon Pool. In the evening, we will dine and rest, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.
Back at the hostel, you can enjoy an exquisite dinner. If the body allows it, you will enjoy a fun night in our bar.
LODGE - PUERTO MALDONADO - CUSCO.
After a restful night's rest, our breakfast awaits you before returning to Puerto Maldonado, in time for you to take your flight back to Lima or any other destination.
