Tour Plan

CUSCO - MOLLEPATA - CHALLACAMCHA - SORAYPAMPA.
We will pick you up very early from your hotel at 05:00 am. We will travel for 3 hours, during the course of the trip we will be able to clearly observe the spectacular mountains and spectacular landscapes of the highest areas. After a two hour trip we will make a quick stop in the town of Mollepata. Where we will find toilet facilities, souvenir shops and an optional short breakfast. When we finish this short break we will soon continue to Challacancha, which is the beginning of our journey. There we will meet with our support staff. Then we will start our trek to Soraypampa (3850 MASL). The first section of the road is a hike over deep valleys. In some parts of the trail you can still see the old water channel. The canal still supplies water to farmers in the lower valleys. The beginning of the trek is 7km walking in 3 hours to Soraypampa, where we will have our lunch in the base camp. After lunch we will have the option to visit the Humantay Lake (4200 MASL - 13779 ft). This is a 5km round trip (3.1miles) that lasts 3 hours. In the Humantay Lake you can see the bottom of the glacier, Then we will have our dinner and we will spend the night.

SORAYPAMPA - SALKANTAY PASS - CHAULLAY.
After a delicious breakfast we will start our trek to the highest point the Salkantay Pass (4650 MASL - 15,255 feet). The distance is an ascent of 7km (4.34 miles) in 3 hours, between the bottom of the rocky valley and the magnificent mountain Salkantay (6200 masl - 20,341 feet). When we finally reach the summit we can definitely appreciate the spectacular views of the mountains and the imposing snowy peaks of Salkantay, Humantay, Tucarhuay and Pumasillo. The mountain Salkantay is the second highest mountain of the region of Cusco. After reaching the top of the pass we will descend for 2 hours to Huayracmachay. Place where we will have our lunch. After lunch we will continue descending for 4 hours more on the way we will observe a lot of wildlife and native plants. Forests are most of the time in the warm year or have a temperate temperature. At the end of this magnificent walk we will finally reach Chaullay Village (2900 MASL - 9,514 feet), our base camp in the jungle.

CHAULLAY - THE BEACH - SANTA TERESA - HYDROELECTRICA - AGUAS CALIENTES.
At 6:00 am. We will start our walk towards La Playa. We will walk approximately for 6 hours. During the walk we will see: waterfalls, wild orchids, but also plantations of coffee, banana and avocado. Here you can taste the famous fruit of the granadilla. We will see a town called Colpapampa, also called the "cloud forest front" where you can see waterfalls, hot springs, fruit trees, varied flora and birds. If we are lucky, we can see the famous bird called "The Rooster of the Rocks" this bird is the national bird of Peru. After lunch at La playa, A shuttle will pick us up to Hidroelectrica. Then here you will have two options: 1) If you are exhausted you can take the train to Aguas Calientes. 2) If you are still wanting to walk, you can walk from Hidroeléctrica to Aguas Calientes for approximately 3 hours by train. Once in Aguas Calientes we will install them in your accommodations. At 7:00 pm. We will have dinner at a local restaurant and we will spend the night.

AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO.
Very early after our breakfast we will take the first bus that will take us to the sanctuary of Machupicchu for approximately 30 minutes. Then we will have our guided tour for approximately 3 hours where the guide will take us to the most important places of the citadel, Temple of the Sun, temple of the three windows, main square, Intiwatana, Temple of the Condor, after our visit we will have time Free to explore and explore Machupicchu on its own. The other option is to climb the Huaynapicchu (not included) to appreciate the impressive view of the whole citadel. Finally we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes and then go to the station and wait for our train that will take us back to the village of ollantaytambo for 1 hour and 45 minutes where our transportation will pick you up to Cuzco arriving at approximately 10:30 pm .
