But the most outstanding places of this tour are the 7 lagoons located in the foothills of the Vilcanota mountain range, which receive the following names: Otorongo Male, Otorongo Female, Puca cocha, Alqa cocha, Ccomer cocha, Azul cocha and Pata cocha.

To participate in this tour to the 7 lagoons of Ausangate, you must be in good physical condition and be acclimatized to the altitude.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
The excursion in the lagoons takes place in an area with a variable height between 4300 m.s.n.m to 4650 m.s.n.m. It is an area with a frigid climate, therefore it is required to wear clothing that provides heat (windbreakers, gloves, caps, etc.); It is also advisable to bring snacks that provide energy and calories (chocolates or candies) all this just for a better experience.

Tour Plan
We start the pick-up of the passengers at 4:30 am from the different hotels or hostels, and then we go to the community of Tinke 3780 masl (3 hours approx) and take the detour to the community of Pacchanta 4310 masl (40 minutes approx) place where we will have breakfast, also where we start the tour of the 7 lagoons (6.5 km approx).
We will have a five-hour walk visiting the lagoons of azulqocha, otorongo, alqacocha, q'omercocha and patacocha 4740 meters above sea level; We can also appreciate the Ausangate mountain 6380 meters above sea level.
During the journey we will see native birds of the area, alpacas, llamas, many vizcachas and with luck even the Andean condor. After completing a circuit, we will return to Pacchanta to enjoy lunch and relax in the Pacchanta hot springs (optional).
We will return to the city of Cusco (approximately 18:00 pm).
Itinerary:
- 04:30 am transfer from the hotel / meeting at the cathedral door.
- Transfer from Cusco to Pacchanta, located at 4,300 meters above sea level.
- 8:00 am breakfast time
- 8:40 am start of the walk (lagoons will be observed during the walk).
- Lagoons huchuypukacocha, hatun pukacocha, tecyacocha, otorongo male

- 10:45 am arrival at the last lagoon at 4650 masl
- 11:15 am descent to the starting point (Pacchanta community).
