Mountain Tour – Palccoyo
Overview
A new route to visit in the Cusco region is the Palccoyoc mountain range, for all nature lovers and for those visitors who do not like to walk a lot, in this attraction you will be able to see many rich flora and fauna, a beauty of colors in the mountain ranges.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
The excursion to the Cordillera de Colores de Palcoyo takes place in an area with a variable height between 4700 m.s.n.m to 4850 m.s.n.m. It is an area with a frigid climate, therefore it is required to wear clothing that provides heat (windbreakers, gloves, caps, etc.); It is also advisable to bring snacks that provide energy and calories (chocolates or candies) all this just for a better experience. In addition to a rain coat or jacket, sunglasses and a hat if the day is sunny or rainy.

Tour Plan
The pick up from your hotel will be from 6:00 – 6:30am. We will travel for 1:30 min until we reach Cusipata, where we will have our breakfast, and then continue for a time of approximately 20 min more, to the town of Checacupe where we can appreciate 3 old bridges (Inca, Colonial and Republican), then we will arrive at the town of Combapata and we will continue the trip uphill for approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes along the left bank of the Salka River, we will arrive at the starting point of the walk 4790 meters above sea level to ''Wallata Q'asa''. Passing through the Palccoyo community.
From this point you can see the ''Warsaqyani'' mountain, there begins our adventure of a walk of approximately 40 minutes to see the colored hill of ''Q'alle Q'alle'' and the Stone Forest located at 4960 meters above sea level. The entire route on the walk is an average of 2 kilometers if you go up to the Stone Forest.
After free time in the Stone Forest ''Yura'q Qaqa'' we will descend again to the parking lot, to take our transport back to Cusipata, where we will have our delicious lunch.
Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco arriving at approximately 6:00 – 6:20 pm.
ITINERARY:
- 06:00 AM TO 06:30 AM.- PICK UP FROM THE HOTEL OR MEETING AT THE CATHEDRAL.
- 06:45 AM.- WE START THE TRIP TO CUSIPATA (BREAKFAST).
- 11:20 AM.- WE ARRIVED AT THE STARTING POINT OF THE WALK.
- 02:30 PM. - WE WILL BOARD OUR TRANSPORTATION TO GO BACK TO CUSIPATA, WHERE WE WILL HAVE AN EXQUISITE LUNCH.
- 3:20 PM. - THEN AT LUNCH WE WILL RETURN TO THE CITY OF CUSCO.
- 6:20 PM PM. - ARRIVAL TO CUSCO.
