Tour Plan

This tour is an ideal option for people who want to learn a little more about our beautiful Inca culture. The city of Cusco, capital of the Inca Empire, contains a wide variety of tourist attractions. We recommend this tour in which you will be able to visit the Plaza Mayor, the Historic Center, the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, the convent of Santo Domingo and the archaeological complexes of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay.
Our staff will pick you up from your hotel in the city of Cusco around 1:45 p.m. to board our tourist bus that will take us to visit the different archaeological and religious attractions, among which are:

1.- The Qoricancha. Religious center built to worship the Sun, it was the most important deity of the time of the Incas. In this place the extraordinary Inca architecture stands out together with the Spanish architecture, in addition you can see beautiful paintings of the Cusco school in its colonial art gallery. Then we will visit the Qoricancha temple.

2.- Sacsayhuaman.- The impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman is strategically built using huge carved stones joined with imperative precision on a hill from where you can see all of Cusco. It is made up of three superimposed platforms that have an average length of 360 meters; here you can see stones up to 9 meters high. From the place you get a spectacular view of the entire city of Cusco and the beautiful panorama formed by the tops of the hills.

3.- Qenqo. Located one km from Sacsayhuaman; It was an Inca ceremonial center. Etymologically, it means labyrinth or zigzag, which was considered a cult center. An open space called an amphitheater stands out where their idols and mummies were found in the 19 trapezoidal niches it has, although it is currently up to half its true height.

4.- Puka pukara. It means "red fortress", because the calcareous stones with which it is built have acquired the reddish coloration of the land, very abundant in iron. It is argued that it had the function of protecting Tambomach'ay, an important palace in the Inkario. But that in turn, due to its architectural layout and the existence of fountains, aqueducts and multiple enclosures, it was a "tambo" that is, a collective shelter that offered lodging and food to travelers.

5.- Tambomachay. It is located about 8 kms. to the north of Cusco and very close to the archaeological zone of Puka Pukara, it is an archaeological site that was destined to the cult of water and so that the head of the Inca Empire could rest. This place is also called Baños del Inca. It consists of a series of aqueducts, canals and several waterfalls. What is surprising about this is that from a main waterfall, the Incas created 2 secondary waterfalls, which are exactly the same.

After visiting Tambomachay we will return to Cusco at approximately 7:00 p.m. The transport will leave us at Plaza Regocijo.
